Six persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Baramulla and Kargil, police said in statement here.

In Baramulla, an Alto car bearing (JK05A/8337) driven by Shabir Ahmed Bhat son of Wali Mohammad Bhat resident of Sangri colony Baramulla and a motorcycle driven by Umar Najar resident of Banglowbagh Baramulla collided near Police Station Baramulla. Both the drivers were injuried.

Two cops identified as HC Prem Nath No 19/IRP 13th Bn and HC Naik Ram No 111/IRP 13th Bn who were on duty on the road were also injured in this accident. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, where from one of the injured Naik Ram was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.

In Kargil, an oil tanker bearing (JK02-AD 5060) driven by Shiv Kumar son of Paras Ram resident of Channani Udhampur met with an accident at Gumri in the jurisdiction of Police Station Drass, resulting in injuries to tanker driver and a person Qabil Krishan son of Paras Ram resident of Channani Udhampur. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Drass for treatment. Kargil police has registered a case in this regard.

In a separate incident,m police said, fire broke out in the residential house of Mohammad Sadiq Hurrah resident of Telsara and a cowshed of Mohammad Ramzan son of Sonaullah Hurrah in Chrar-i-Sharif, Budgam resulting in partial damage to both the structures. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
