Six persons were injured, one of them critically, in a road accident in north Kashmir’s Pattan area of Baramulla district on late last night.

Reports said that a Maruti car collided with an ambulance heading towards Handwara near ITI Pattan, resulting in injuries to six persons, including the driver of the ambulance.

The injured have been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Chak, Hajira Bano, Sonallulah Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar, Mubeena Begum and ambulance driver identified as Manzoor Ahmad Khan all residents of Handwara.

All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital where from one critically injured was referred to Srinagar for further treatment, a police official said.

An official said a case has been registered and further investigation was taken up.
