The second consecutive test reports of six more COVID-19 patients admitted in the CD Hospital Srinagar has tested negative for the disease.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Head, Chest Disease Hospital, Dr Naveed Nazir Shah wrote, “More good news….. 5 of positive patients turned negative … another sample to be taken..as quarantine period will be over ..will be discharged … together v can do it.. break the chain.”

“One more negative… so the total score of conversion moves to 7….break the chain .. please follow administrative and health advisories,” he tweeted.

“With 7 CoVID-19 positive cases successfully recovering we see hope ahead. Pl cooperate in contact tracing, surveillance and quarantine,” DC Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal tweeted.

He informed there were 19 COVID19 patients admitted at the hospital and all were responding well to the treatment.

He said doctors and paramedics working at the hospital were doing their best to make a difference amid the severe health crisis.

“We have seen that there is a general trend that we mostly get the positive cases which have been the contacts of already positive cases,” he said.

Regarding quarantine facilities, Dr Nazir said: “we have established testing as well as quarantine facilities in hospitals including CD Hospital.” He said like rest of the world, Kashmir too was grappling with coronavirus pandemic and people must take all precautionary measures to keep the virus away.

He shared some of the patients will be discharged soon, after following a proper protocol.
