SRINAGAR: Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura Srinagar, is inviting applications for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor in various disciplines on an academic arrangement basis.
The last date to apply is November 23, 2024.
The engagement will be for one year, extendable up to a maximum of six years. The age of candidates, as of January 1, 2024, should not exceed 63 years.
Eligibility for the posts will be considered in accordance with the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022, notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
**For Professors:** Candidates should have 11-14 years of teaching and research experience in a recognised institution in their specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS/DM/MCh or a recognised equivalent qualification. The applicant should have at least ten indexed research publications.
For Assistant Professors: Candidates must possess 1-3 years of teaching and research experience in a recognised institution in their specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS/DM/MCh or a recognised equivalent qualification. The applicant should have at least two indexed research publications.
Candidates are required to upload clear images of the requisite documents, including educational qualifications, certificates as per eligibility criteria (NMC Guidelines), an attempt certificate for all MBBS exams issued by the concerned university, an experience certificate from the appropriate authority, and a domicile certificate of J&K. Additionally, research publications, a recent photograph, signature, and relevant certificates must also be uploaded.
Available Posts: 21 Professor posts and 46 Assistant Professor posts.
Salary: Professors will be paid between INR 1,44,200 – 2,18,200 (Level 14). Assistant Professors will be paid between INR 67,700 – 2,08,700 (Level 11).
