SRINAGAR: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) sealed five unauthorised structures in different parts of the city as part of its ongoing enforcement action against construction violations.
According to details, three structures were sealed in Ward 33 at Humhama, while one structure each was sealed in Ward 28, Batamaloo, and Ward 21, Nawabazar.
The action forms part of the Corporation’s continuing enforcement drive against unauthorised and non-compliant constructions across Srinagar.
SMC has been carrying out demolition and sealing operations in different municipal zones to enforce building regulations and prevent construction activity without the required permissions.
The latest action comes a day after the Corporation reported 50 demolition drives and sealing action against three structures during September, with officials indicating that further enforcement measures would continue.
The Corporation has urged people to comply with applicable building regulations and obtain the required permissions before undertaking construction. [KNT]
