SRINAGAR: Police in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district apprehended two persons and recovered 21 bottles of liquor during naka checking at Bondialgam Crossing on Tuesday.
A team from Police Post Dialgam had established a routine naka at the crossing when the two persons were intercepted, police said.
The recovered liquor was seized in accordance with law, while the two persons were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
Police said FIR No. 320/2026 has been registered at Police Station Anantnag under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act. An investigation has been initiated to establish further details and possible linkages in the case.
Anantnag Police said enforcement action against illegal activities would continue across the district.
