SRINAGAR
According to Food Safety Officer, Drug and Food Control Organization, Kashmir, anti smoking squad Wednesday conducted inspection of Old Secretariat, L.D Hospital, Rajbagh, GB Panth Hospital, Forest Complex Lal Chowk and 16 persons were found violating Section 4 and 6 (b) of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003. A fine of Rs. 1750 was realized from the offenders.
The team also inspected various markets of Koker Bazar and Rajbagh where shopkeepers voluntarily destroyed huge quantity of the Gukhta, which stand already banned in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
