Kashmir valley is likely to receive moderate to heavy snowfall during the next 48 hours, the local Met officials said on Tuesday.
Passengers on the Srinagar – Jammu highway have been advised to exercise caution while undertaking the journey during the period.
There would be a decrease in precipitation from Feb 26 onwards, they said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar would hover around six and two degree Celsius during the next two to three days.
In Jammu city there is a possibility of thunderstorm accompanied by rain where the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 17 and 12 degree Celsius during the next 24 hours.
