A cop, identified as Mohammad Shafi Dar, of Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir was killed in a gunfight between militants and forces in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
The gunfight erupted in Yemberzal Wadi of Marval forests in Zaloora area of Sopore town in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Meanwhile, SP Sopore, Harmeet Singh Mehta said the police has launched a search operation to trap the militants.
