SRINAGAR: A soldier was injured in a mysterious blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Bagyal Dara area of the Poonch district on Monday afternoon, official sources said.
Defence sources stated that the incident took place while an Army patrol was moving through the area when an unidentified explosive device detonated.
The injured soldier was immediately evacuated to a nearby military hospital for treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blast and whether it resulted from an old unexploded ordnance or another explosive device.
Following the incident, joint forces have intensified vigilance in the region. (KNT)
