Unknown gunmen on late last night abducted a son of Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police in Wathoo village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said that unknown gunmen barged inside the house of Assistant Sub-Inspector Bashir Ahmad Bhat and abducted his son Yasir Ahmad Bhat on today late night from his house in Wathoo village.
Bhat is posted at Humhama area of Budgam.
Meanwhile, forces have launched a search operation to trace the abducted youth.
Earlier, the authorities had sounded high alert across south Kashmir areas on Thursday after gunmen abducted seven relatives of the police force.
