The death toll in Sonamarg cloudburst has reached two besides four persons have been reported missing in the latest natural fury that struck Wednesday evening near a place enroute to the Amarnath shrine.
The cloud-burst that struck at Kellan village near Gagangir killed a girl named Iqra Nazir. After the cloudburst, Srinagar-Leh highway was closed.
The latest cloudburst, an extreme amount of precipitation capable of creating flood-like conditions, has pressed Border Roads Organisation (BRO) set its men and machines into operation.
