Sopore Drowning: Rescue Operation Halted Amid Bad Weather

   

SRINAGAR: The search and rescue operation in Sopore, aimed at locating a man who drowned in the Jhelum river on Sunday, has been temporarily suspended due to deteriorating weather conditions.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore confirmed that the man, identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, had indeed drowned in the river on Sunday.

Efforts to retrieve his body have been ongoing but were called off for safety reasons.

An official stated that the operation will resume as soon as the weather improves. The family of the deceased has been informed, and local authorities are on-site to assist. (KNC)
