SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered the promotion of five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to a government order, the promotions were sanctioned based on recommendations and are effective immediately. The promotions were issued by order of the Lieutenant Governor.
The newly promoted Superintendents of Police are, Owais Rashid, KPS125679.. Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai, KPS125839 Gh Mustafa Bhat KPS125740, Shahzada Kabir Mattoo KPS125843, Ashish Gupta KPS125815, it reads.
The order also specified that the promotions are subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions or other legal proceedings.
The promotions were sanctioned by Principal Secretary to the Government, Chandraker Bharti. (KNC)
