SRINAGAR: An Air India flight AI-504, scheduled to depart for Delhi aborted takeoff due to a technical snag, officials said, as per multiple media reports.
According to Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), the plane returned safely to the bay following the issue. Air India later informed airport authorities that a replacement aircraft would be arranged, with the revised departure fixed at 1:00 am on Monday, as per NDTV report
“A technical issue forced the Delhi-bound flight to abort takeoff. Air India is rectifying the matter and has confirmed a change of aircraft,” a CIAL spokesperson said in a statement.
The incident came to light after Congress MP Hibi Eden, who was on board the flight, posted on social media that the aircraft seemed to have skidded on the runway.

Rajya Sabha MP Jebi Mather, also on board, said the pilot later announced that the aircraft could not be used for travel.
