Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday condemned the mysterious Sopore killings and termed the incidents as “Well-Thought Plan to terrorize common masses”.
According to a statement of JeI, “The mysterious serial killings of innocent but freedom loving youth in the Sopore area by the so called unidentified gunmen, indicates that all this is a part of a well-thought plan to terrorise the common masses here,” adding, “thereby crush their peaceful and democratic voice for their basic right of self-determination and the revival of the Islamic system of life in this region.”
The statement alleged that the killers are committing these heinous crimes in the broad day light “which speaks volumes about the sponsors of these killers”.
“The recent statement of the Indian Defence, Minister Manohar Parikar, that ‘terrorism can only be combated by terrorism’ supports the public view point that these killings are government sponsored in order to create a reign of terror in the valley just on the pattern of the illegal Jewish occupants in Palestine,” the statement said.
It added, “to defeat these evil designs, unity among the victimized people is indispensable without which we cannot succeed in our cherished goal. Further, the people should show their concern about the victims of this barbarism and not remain unconcerned or indifferent towards the sufferings of their brothers. The evil designs of RSS, particularly the change of demography in Jammu and Kashmir are to be kept in view and make the common masses aware of these vicious plans of the enemies of Islam, particularly when these communal elements are in power.”
The statement further added, “the recent statements of BJP and RSS leaders namely Jitendra Singh (Minister in PM’s office), Rajnath Singh (Home Minister), Praveen Togadia (RSS National Chief) and others, clearly indicate that RSS agenda regarding Jammu and Kashmir is being implemented meticulously. In Jammu, the Muslims living for decades are being evacuated in the name of removing the encroachments from the forest lands, replacing the secular minded bureaucrats from the key posts by those having RSS ideology, rehabilitating the WPR’s by issuing them PRC’s, settlement of migrant Pandits in isolated secured colonies in Kashmir, choking the voice of the people by illegally detaining the leaders and workers of the Hurriyat Organizations, looting of the natural resources so as to make the Kashmiri people dependent and disabled and other state-sponsored violations of the human rights of the majority population. Further religious dissentions are being created and encouraged on state-level so as make this nation a disintegrated lot.”
The statement concluded, “Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir while condemning the state-sponsored anti-people policies of RSS-BJP government in New-Delhi, cautions the local people against the vicious designs of the communal elements and unite against this tyranny and barbaric state policy and defeat it at the very outset so that these people-terrorising schemes go in vain.”
