SRINAGAR: Security forces on Tuesday have busted a militant hideout during a joint cordon and search operation in Churat village of Qazigund area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Officials said troops of 9 Rashtriya Rifles, 18 Battalion CRPF, and Special Operations Group Kulgam launched an operation following specific inputs. During the searches, a hideout was unearthed in the area.
Details about the recovery of arms or ammunition, if any, were not immediately available. The operation was in progress when reports last came in. [KNT]
