South Kashmir: Police Attach Rs 10 Lakh Property in Narcotics Case

   

SRINAGAR: Police in South Kashmir’s Shopian district have attached an immovable property valued at Rs 10 lakh belonging to Showkat Ahmad Dar, a resident of Dachoo Zainapora, in connection with a drug-related case.

The property, spread over 10 marlas under Survey No. 62, was identified as having been acquired through proceeds from illegal narcotics trade. It has been attached in FIR No. 76/2025 registered at Police Station Zainapora.

Officials stated that the attachment proceedings were conducted in the presence of a police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar, and Chowkidar, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures and transparency.

JK Police reiterated its resolve to eliminate the drug menace by targeting both offenders and assets generated through illegal activities, and appealed to the public to report any information related to drug trafficking.
