South Kashmir: Police Seizes 14 Vehicles in Crackdown on Illegal Mining Activities

   

SRINAGAR: Police in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district seized 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining during the intervening night of April 12–13.

A police team from Police Post Dialgam, during a checkpoint at Larkipora Bridge, intercepted and seized vehicles involved in illegal mining activities. The seized fleet includes eight tippers and six tractors, which were found transporting minerals without valid authorization.

Following the action, cases have been registered at Police Station Anantnag, and further investigation has been initiated.

JK Police reiterated its commitment to taking strict action against illegal mining and urged the public to cooperate in maintaining law and order.
