SRINAGAR: Four people were injured in a road accident near the Air Strip in Bijbehara, close to Donipora Crossing in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, on Thursday.
The accident involved a Swift Dzire bearing registration number HP37G/0172 and a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK22B/7482, officials said.
Among the injured is Surinder Kumar, son of Roop Lal Sharma, a resident of Chandigarh, Mohali, who is reported to be in serious condition.
Another injured person was identified as S. Chand Munda, a resident of Pahalanpur, Himachal Pradesh. One other passenger and the driver of one of the vehicles also sustained injuries. The driver is reported to have suffered minor injuries.
All four injured persons were shifted to a hospital for treatment. Doctors said Surinder Kumar’s condition remained serious.
