Pradesh Congress Committee president Prof Saif-u-Din Soz and senior Congress leader Union Minister for Health Ghulam Nabi Azad are scheduled to address a joint rally at Shangus in South Kashmir onDecember 28.Ghulam Nabi Azad n Saif Ud Din Soz

Sources told KNS that Congress workers drawn across the South Kashmir will attend the rally. This for the first time that the two Congress senior leaders will be seen sharing dais after a long time. When contacted, Prof Soz confirmed the report saying: “Yes I have already told you that we are on the same page.”

The PCC chief further told KNS that he wants to make it clear that there are no differences between the two leaders and all the workers and party supporters shall work jointly to strengthen the party in nook and corner of the state.

He said the party is scheduled to hold big public rallies in coming days in both Jammu and Srinagar. “Congress has emerged a vibrant force to reckon with in the state. Now in order to strengthen its further, I will invite Ambika Soni, party incharge for Jammu and Kashmir affairs and Ghulam Nabi Azad the union health minister to attend these public rallies in near future,” Prof Soz told KNS.

The PCC president told KNS that after a successful public mobilization drive by his party at Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu province, he wants to expedite the mass contact programmes in other regions of the state and Shangus public rally is a part of that programme.
