He was addressing a day-long public interaction programme at Bugroo Khansahib in the Charar-i-Sharief constituency. The Speaker emphasised that public participation is essential for effective and result-oriented government planning and called on officials to ensure meaningful engagement of citizens in both the formulation and implementation of developmental initiatives.

“Development cannot be one-sided. People’s voices, experiences and needs must form the foundation of all planning,” the Speaker said, adding that genuine public demands would be prioritised in government policies.

Various local delegations from Bugroo, Kremshore, Dreygam, Lanur, Nambalhar, Arampora, Khasipora and nearby areas presented their grievances related to infrastructure, public utilities, and essential services. In response, the Speaker assured timely redressal and called for an administrative culture focused on grassroots responsiveness.

Rather said the administration is making continuous efforts to deliver services at the doorstep of the people. He added that outreach initiatives such as this would continue until every citizen feels represented and heard.

District Development Council (DDC) members from Charar-i-Sharief and Khansahab, SDM Khansaheb, and heads of departments including health and education also attended the programme.
