SRINAGAR: The Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has convened a meeting with chairpersons of various House Committees on Monday.
Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather has called a meeting with the heads of nine House Committees, which were recently constituted to carry out functions prescribed under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
The meeting will discuss the functioning of the Financial and other committees.
Those asked to attend the meeting include Sham Lal Sharma, Chairman, Committee on Public Accounts; Shamim Firdous, Chairperson, Committee on Estimates; Ali Mohammad Sagar, Chairman, Committee on Public Undertakings; Sajad Gani Lone, Chairman, Committee on Government Assurances; Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, Chairman, Committee on Environment; Surjeet Singh Slathia, Chairman, Ethics Committee; Nizam-ud-din Bhat, Chairman, Committee on Privileges; Hasnain Masoodi, Chairman, Committee on Subordinate Legislation; and Pirzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, Chairman, Committee on Petitions.
In addition to the chairpersons, officials requested to attend the meeting include the Principal Accountant General, J&K; Commissioner Secretary to Government, General Administration Department; and the Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. (KNO)
