A special drive to check usage of LPG and overloading in school buses and vans will be started from November 5. The drive will be run by traffic police city within the municipal limits of Srinagar city.
A large number of complaints have been received by the SP Traffic city office to check into the issue. The school authorities have also been requested to advice the drivers of their buses to adhere to the traffic police directions issued from time to time.
SP Traffic City has also requested the parents of the boys using bikes to rein in their children and ensure that they wear helmets and do not resort to stunt biking. According to statement, the traffic police city Srinagar has identified the areas where stunt biking is taking place and strict action will soon follow at all such locations.
