Special Leave Approved for Kashmiri Migrant Employees to Cast Vote

   

SRINAGAR: The Government has sanctioned three days of special casual leave for Kashmiri migrant employees posted in Kashmir who are eligible to vote at special polling stations to be set up in Jammu, Udhampur, and Delhi during the three phases of elections for the Assembly constituencies in the Valley.

Migrant employees from these districts can avail of casual leave on the polling days in their respective constituencies. An order to this effect was issued by the General Administrative Department (GAD).

In the first phase, voting will be held in 16 Assembly segments of Kashmir Valley across four districts: Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Anantnag.

In the second phase, polling will be conducted in 10 Assembly segments of the Central Kashmir districts of Srinagar and Ganderbal on September 25.

In the third phase, polling will be held for 21 Assembly segments in one Central Kashmir district, Budgam, and three North Kashmir districts: Baramulla, Kupwara, and Bandipora.
