Directing officials to accelerate construction work of hutments at Pandit colonies at South Kashmir’s Vessu, Qazigund and North Kashmir’s Khanpora, Baramulla; Minister of State for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation Ajaz Ahmad Khan Wednesday urged officers to hand over immediately the residential accommodation to the Pandit families.
Khan was chairing a review meeting of Relief Organisation where he also directed the officers to take up the issues of delay in payment of salaries, seniority disputes, inter district transfers etc on priority and get them resolved immediately.
While talking about the various measures, Khan told officers to have a joint inspection of the Baramulla site on Thursday August 22, 2013 and access the readiness of flats.
The Minister also directed early completion of flats at Vessu and in this regard stressed on close co ordination between SICOP and Relief Organization.
Besides Kashmir, Khan also directed pacing up of allotments in Jagti Township, Jammu in favour of such genuine migrants who are living on rented accommodation. He also directed undertaking immediate repair works in the township so that the inhabitants don’t face any difficulty.
During the meeting, Khan issued instructions for making available ration in favour of migrants’ employees in Valley.
