Speeding two-wheeler hits minor in Srinagar, hospitalized

An eleven-year student was injured after a speeding two-wheeler hit him in Safa Kadal area of Srinagar, media reports claimed on Saturday.

Reports said that an eleven-year-old boy identified as Mohammad Athar Khan, son of Hilal Ahmed Khan, a resident of Srinagar was hit by a speeding two-wheeler bearing registration number JKOIU 3200 at Safa Kadal Chowk area of the Srinagar. The incident resulted in injuries to the minor boy at his hand and legs.

“I was accompanying my son as usual when a speeding two-wheeler hit him. His leg got fractured and he sustained serious head injuries as well,” media reports quoted student’s father Hilal Ahmed as saying.

Soon after the incident, the injured boy was shifted to Bone and joints hospital and then SMHS for the treatment. Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
