Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Wednesday distributed Cricket team kits, team uniforms and tack suits among the players of the Jammu and Kashmir Para cricket Club.
The team comprising of almost 16 youngsters, were given uniforms, track suits and other things mandatory for playing cricket by the Secretary State Sports Council, a statement issued by the SCC said this evening. The team is all set to play for National’s at Hyderabad.
The statement informed that the players later interacted with Secretary Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman and others officials of the council.
The team also played a friendly match which was “appreciated” by all the persons present there.
“Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council is trying best to involve more and more youth into the sports. We want to promote Sports activities in the State among the students and non- student youth. We are trying to make impact in the areas of physical health, cognitive and academic development, and making substantial contribution towards the development of society,” said Secretary J&K State Sports Council.
Meanwhile, the president of the Para Cricket Club appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the J&K State Sports Council towards the initiative of providing space for special youth.
