SRINAGAR: The Special Police Officer’s (SPO’S) working in Jammu and Kashmir Police department for many years are demanding regularization.

The J&K government had framed a policy in 2009, in which the candidates (SPO’S) who had diplomas in different trades through Government ITI’S and who have excelled in sports and won various positions in individual or team events at the State or National level, were eligible for regularization and from almost 2018 such candidates have submitted all documents for the policy.

“ For the last two to three years we have not been entertained. Some cases have reached the PHQ J&K and some are lying at various district headquarters,” said an employee.

“Being in the department we are not able to stage any protest as we are not allowed to protest,” said another employee.

“We request to the authorities to intervene in our matter so that our grievances are redressed,” he added.`
