SRINAGAR: The District Administration Srinagar has made it mandatory for all government employees within its jurisdiction to attend the Republic Day 2025 celebrations at Bakshi Stadium on January 26, warning that absence will be considered dereliction of duty.
According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, all Heads of Departments (HoDs), district officers, sectoral officers, and their subordinate staff are required to attend the event as part of their official responsibilities.
The order further directs each department to nominate a senior officer to monitor and record attendance at the event. These attendance records must then be submitted to the Nodal Officer, Yamin-ul-Nabi, Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, who has been designated as the District Level Nodal Officer (Attendance).
Departments are also instructed to assign an identifier who will be present at the main entrance to verify the attendance of their respective officers and staff during the function.
“It is reiterated that presence at the Republic Day function is treated as an official duty, and failure to comply will be construed as a violation of government instructions and official responsibilities,” the order reads.
