SRINAGAR: The district administration on Wednesday urged residents to avoid panic buying and hoarding of essential commodities, assuring that sufficient stocks are available across the city.
In an official advisory, authorities said there is no shortage of fuel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or other essential items, dismissing concerns over any supply disruption.
The administration warned of strict action against black marketing and the spread of rumours that could trigger artificial scarcity and unnecessary hoarding. People have been advised to remain calm and report any instances of profiteering to the designated control room.
