Srinagar-Jammu Highway which was thrown open for one-way traffic movement Monday after remaining closed for five consecutive days has been again closed down after road sink near Peedah close to Baglihar Power Project.

“Yes, traffic has been closed,” a traffic cop told Kashmir Life from Peedah. “Men are at work to restore it as soon as possible.”

Earlier, Kashmir-bound stranded vehicles were allowed to travel from Jammu to Srinagar.

With fresh closure, hundreds of trucks loaded with essential commodities have been once again stranded.
