Srinagar- Jammu highway reopened on Sunday after remaining closed for six days due to snow accumulation, frequently shooting stones and landslides, said traffic department spokesman in a statement.

The spokesman said that tomorrow on Monday, January 28, 2019, subject to fair weather/clearance of road only stranded vehicles shall be allowed towards Srinagar.

He said no movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from the opposite direction. The commuters are requested to avoid travelling during night hours.

Meanwhile, the traffic on historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.

People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road from below mentioned phone Nos.
