Shabir-Shah-and-Nayeem-KhanHurriyat (g) leaders Nayeem Khan and Shabir Ahmad Shah Wednesday condemned the arrest spree by the state administration across the state.

Shah said the government has waged a war against the common people of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued, Shah said despite the arrests and restrictions, the ‘Million March’ program will be organised at any cost.

Terming the crackdown on separatist leadership as blot on the face of state administration, Khan said, “on one hand, the state administration continues to shower praises on Narendra Modi despite his anti-Muslim attitude and on the other, have turned the whole valley into a virtual jail. This way the government stands exposed.”

Khan criticised police for arresting the students thereby running their career.

He also condemned the police action of frisking every part passerby. Reiterating his so appeal for massive participation in Million March, Khan said the people will continue their struggle for right to self-determination.

“I appeal to people of all walks of life to follow the Hurriyat conference programme in letter and spirit, so that world knows that we don’t recognise Indian sovereignty in Jammu Kashmir and challenge its military occupation,” he said.
