Residents of New Colony Nowpora have expressed resentment against failure of authorities to undertake repairs of road in the locality.
The residents said that the road near Sun Shine Public school has been macadamized more than a decade ago. “In absence of repairs, the road has developed potholes hampering smooth pedestrian and vehicular movement,” they said.
The residents also complained that in absence of cleaning, drains in the locality have been choked. “This causes waterlogging after rains,” they said.
“We had apprised the concerned authorities about the matter but no action was taken to redress these problems. We appeal higher authorities to look into the matter,” they said.
