As all the major roads in and around Srinagar city are impassable and slippery, district administration Friday evening said that the road clearance machines will clear the city roads after 10:00 pm tonight.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone told Kashmir Life that the snow on the roads has not accumulated to a level that it can be cleared yet.
He, however, said that the snow clearing machines will be pumped into working mode after 10 pm tonight.
Since it is snowing, we expect the snow will accumulate to a level when it can be cleared, he said. “All the necessary steps have been taken to ensure snow clearance from the roads.”
