Weather in Kashmir has again taken a rough turn with Srinagar temperature falling 2 degrees Celsius from normal.
People in Kashmir Tuesday woke up to a cold morning with intermittent splashes affecting the normal life. People returned to woolens and the school going children were seen shivering in their summer uniform.
Weather forecast for the valley suggested that the thunderstorms and rains are likely to continue for next twenty four hours.
Sources in the meteorological department said that the fresh dip in temperature is due to the “rains caused by western disturbances”.
Attributing the drop in temperature to the western disturbances, they said that “the temperature in Srinagar is 12 degree Celsius, a drop of 2 degrees from the normal”. Jammu too is witnessing a drop in temperature with minimum temperature plummeting to 13 degrees as per the Meteorological Department.
