A Railway station bound SRTC bus met an accident at Nowgam bypass road near Srinagar British School Tuesday afternoon.
Preliminary reports reaching Kashmir Life said that the bus was coming from Lal Chowk and ferried passengers bound for the Nowgam railway station.
It was not immediately known how the accident took place but sources confirmed that the bus has turtled and many passengers including women must have likely sustained grievous injuries.
Reports said the SHO Nowgam has arrived at the scene. More details are awaited.
