SRINAGAR
The government of Jammu and Kashmir Monday informed that it is implementing State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS) which was framed in 2013-14 in terms of govt order no.: 02 – SW of 2014 dated 02-01-2014.
It said that one time financial assistance of Rs 30000/- is being provided to matriculate Orphan BPL girl. The funds are being provided fully out of non-plan, it added. The scheme is being implemented by Social Welfare Department.
The information was given by state government on Monday on the first day autumn session of state legislature in Srinagar. In 2012-13 calendar, there has been sanctioning of such cases.
