According to the Government order issued by the General Administration Department, the Holiday on account of Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday shall be observed on 21st of June 2016 (Tuesday) instead of 5th July 2016 (Tuesday) in the Government offices and educational institutions of the State. The Holiday shall be observed under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, as well.
An official spokesperson said early Sunday evening, on account of Bye-Elections to 40-Islamabad Assembly constituency, it is hereby ordered that public holiday shall be observed on polling day, 22 June, 2016 (Wednesday) in the areas falling within the limits of Islamabad Assembly Constituency.
