SRINAGAR: The Government of India has issued an urgent advisory for Indian nationals currently in Iran, urging them to remain where they are, shelter in place, and avoid all non-essential movement in view of the rapidly evolving situation in the country.
According to the advisory, any travel within Iran or towards border crossings should be undertaken only after close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran and strictly following its explicit guidance.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran has activated emergency support mechanisms and remains accessible to assist Indian nationals. Individuals requiring assistance have been advised to contact the Embassy through the designated emergency helplines.
