SRINAGAR: Javid Ahmed Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Cooperative, and Election Departments, on Saturday said that strict action will be taken against anyone obstructing the development of Asia’s second-largest fruit mandi in Sopore.
During a visit to the mandi, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing developmental gaps and supporting the region’s agricultural businesses.
“This mandi represents the entire valley, not just north Kashmir. Every individual involved in the fruit business plays a vital role in Jammu and Kashmir’s economy,” he said.
He further mentioned that the government is preparing a list, and no one, whether government official or otherwise, will be exempt from action. — (KNO)
