SRINAGAR: Wood Hole Summer Student Fellowship is a fully funded fellowship hosted by Wood Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in the USA for the year 2024.

The Science Department of WHOI and the Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center of the U.S. Geographical Survey will assist candidates throughout their research programme. The research programme is about ocean sciences and engineering.

The application form should be filled through the official website and the deadline to apply is February 5, 2024.

The fellowship programme duration is about 10 to 12 weeks.

The advantages of the fellowship include a weekly stipend of $680, travel allowance of round trip to Woods Hole, and accommodation allowance. The fellowship will provide candidates with opportunity to join seminars and an ocean sampling cruise on boarding, focused on data collection and sampling techniques associated with the advanced oceanographic instruments and technology.

Students in the first year of graduation can apply. Those who have completed their graduation are not eligible to apply. Students associated with the fields of science and engineering in Chemistry, physics, biology, metaphysics, geophysics, geology, mathematics, meteorology, marine policy, and oceanography may apply.
The documents required for the fellowship programme includes a Curriculum Vitae/ Resume, responses to research statement questions, a transcript and two letters of recommendation.
