SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education, Jammu, has ordered the commencement of summer vacation in all Government and recognised Private Schools up to the higher secondary level located in the winter zone of the Jammu Division from June 23 to July 7, 2025. The official directive mandates the summer break for schools due to the prevailing weather conditions.
The order has been circulated to key administrative and educational authorities, including the Secretary to Government, School Education Department, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, and Chief Education Officers, among others, for information and strict implementation.
Earlier, summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir division were also announced for the same time. The region is facing a severe heatwave, which has resulted in an early summer break in schools.
The order comes as a relief for students and staff amid rising summer temperatures, ensuring their safety and well-being during the hottest weeks of the season.
