The State Government Monday declared 16-day summer vacation for schools and colleges in Kashmir Valley from July 15.

“All government and private schools up to Higher Secondary in Kashmir division shall observe summer vacations with effect from July 15 till July 31,” a senior official at Director of School Education (Kashmir) said. And in an another order, government called for summer vaccations in valley colleges from July 15 up to July 30 in valley.

“Any default on part of private schools in observance of the calendar of vacations authorized shall attract action under rules,” the statement said.

Pertinently, a large number of students Monday came on roads to protest against the Israeli bombing on Gaza.

Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has called for anti-Israel protests on Tuesday and Friday. He has called upon student fraternity to tie black bonds on their arms. (GNS)
