Israeli terror on Gaza erupted spontaneous protests in Kashmir on Monday with students from various institutes held demonstrations and marches pitching anti-Israel and pro-Gaza slogans. Torching Terror: The day began when government employees showed up at Srinagar’s Press Enclave. Besides, raising “Down with Israel” slogans, the employee torched Israeli flag.
Dissident Detained: As the protests became intense, the policemen on guard near Press Enclave didn’t take much time to put the protesters under cage.
Incoming Ire: And just when it seemed that the situation has once again hit the normal routine, the students of various educational institutes showed up with their boisterous appearance. “Down Down Israel,” they pitched while inching closer to Press Enclave.
Skyrocketing Sentiment: Among those young were school boys and college going youngsters. It was a hot Ramadhan day. Many complaint about parched throats. But these young lots braved it all for the sake of their brethren, Gazans.
Holding High: Some said that it was after 2010 that Srinagar witnessed such high-octane protests. Truly, an intense air was blowing over Srinagar today.
Mounting Mission: It was a flashback of 2010 when a young college student climbed Lal Chowk’s clock tower. Once up, the boy placed a placard, reading “Down Down Israel”. His act was greeted by a loud applause by his mates on ground.
Roaring Ride: For the day, apart from foot protest, wheels were equally set on motion for registering protests against Israeli pounding on Gaza.
Sea Sight: Within minutes, a sea of students were seen on roads. Gaza had indeed set off a mass mobilization in Srinagar today.
Densely Dangerous: They had bunked their classes to be on the streets under scorched sun for the cause they all termed “sacred”. Now, the scenes must have spread some smiles on their faces back home.
Halting Hit: The free run of march however was stalled near Regal Chowk. Cops chased them away and soon a massive march dispersed.
Chasing Cops: As the chase began, cops were seen after the students pitching pro-Gaza slogans.
White Welt: If on the first half of the day, boys were on streets for Gaza; then, on the second half of the day, it was the turn of girl student who came out in huge numbers to register their protest against Israeli terror.
Speaking Signs: Their placards left nothing unsaid behind their method of madness.
Grave Gestures: Apart from their veiled mouths, their placards were equally loud.
Peaking Punch: As numbers rose, the intensity in protests also touched a crescendo in demonstrators in white.
Mulling March: For the day, Gaza was all over Srinagar. The young lots battling with parched throats in the sweltering heat never let the pitch of their slogans die down till they call it a day.
