Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman sent a team of doctors comprising of Dr G A Wani (Assistant Directo) and Dr Abida Kawoosa, to conducted surprise visits during late evening (from 6 pm till 8.30 pm) in various hospitals of south kashmir. The team visited Sub District Hospitals at Tral, Pampore and PHC Awantipora.
The team took stock of health facilities being provided to the patients and also interacted with attendants. The team inspected various sections of the hospitals. They also took detailed review of the health institutes and feedback and measures to improve upon the night health facilities in these institutes.
Another team comprising of Dr Showkat Lolu, and Dr Mehmooda Kar are on late night visit to various hospitals of District Budgam and were still on tour when the reports last came in.
Dr Rehman has said that these visits will be a routine phenomenon so as to monitor the health care services being provided to the patients during late evening and night hours.
