Suspected militants on Wednesday evening attacked an army camp in Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a grenade was lobbed at the army’s 32 RR unit by suspected militants in Trakpora area of Rafiabad which exploded outside the camp. However, there was no immediate port of any loss of life or injury reported.

Meanwhile, forces have cordoned off the area and searches are on to nab the attackers.

Reports also said that soon after the army party was attacked, forces have launched a cordon and search operation in a nearby village Feroz Pora in Rafiabad. However, it was not immediately ascertained whether the CASO was launched following the inputs of the presence of the militants or was a routine search.
