Suspected militants Wednesday evening attacked forces near Pampore in South Kashmir. Unconfirmed reports said that it was an army convoy that came under attack.
Reports said that the militants fired upon forces near Galander area. “The firing took place near Galander,” a local said.
Eyewitnesses said that just after the attack, the forces vehicles rushed towards the local hospital.
When contacted, police spokesperson confirmed the attack and said that the details are awaited.
Pertinently, this is the second attack on forces just within two days in the area. On Monday late night, militants had attacked a CRPF convoy injuring 8 Paramilitary personnel.
