Suspected militants on Thursday late evening kidnapped a police constable in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An official said that constable identified as Javaid Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Hamid Dar, a resident of Vehil village of Shopain district was kidnapped by suspected militants half an hour before when he was on way to a local medical shop.
The official added that reportedly four suspected militants have taken the policeman to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area and searches are on to nab the suspected militants.
